ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A second cycle degree or an equivalent foreign academic qualification in:

  • Economics
  • Law
  • Law and Economics
  • Political Science

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

The admission process will take into consideration academic and professional credentials (such as current or past experience in legal, compliance, regulatory or equivalent functions in banks, financial firms, consultancy or law firms).

Applicants must have fluent command of the English and Italian languages (both written and spoken).

The Master seeks to prepare the best professionals in the field of Banking and Financial Law, which is a complex and highly vocational field. Thus, past activities that accredit a previous interest in the field will be taken into consideration. In particular, preference will be given to candidates professionally active or with past experience in legal, compliance, regulatory or equivalent functions in banks, financial firms, consultancy or law firms.

SELECTION AND ENROLLMENT

Application must be filed, in compliance with all requirements specified in the call for applications, by October 24th, 2023

The selections will take place at the Sociology and Business Law Department (Strada Maggiore 45, Bologna, Italy) on November 8th, 2023 from 10:00 to 17:00.

The number of participants who can be admitted to the Executive Master ranges from a minimum of 9 to a maximum of 25, identified according to the selection procedure.

The lists of accepted candidates can be consulted from November 20, 2022 by connecting to www.unibo.it/Portale/Guida/StudentiOnline by entering the username and password obtained following the application. By December 4th, 2022, candidates admitted on the basis of the ranking will be able to enroll and pay the first installment for enrollment.

There is also the possibility to apply for a position of "uditore" (such attendants will not receive, at the end of the program, the title of the Professional Master's Programme but would nonetheless participate to the classes offered by the Master), with a preference for applicants who are members of the Secretariat of the ABF.

FEES FOR REGISTRATION TO THE PROFESSIONAL MASTER

The fee required from participants attending the Executive Master is 7.250 €: first instalment of 3.625 € at registration, second instalment of 3.625 € no later than January 31, 2024.

The fee required from "uditori" (attendees who shall not receive the title at the end of the Professional Master's Programme and are admissible up to 20% of the overall number of participants) is € 3.625 € (due in a single instalment).

The Professional Master's Programme does not fall within the typology of courses for which exemption from tuition fees and university contributions is provided (Prime Ministerial Decree of 9 April 2001, art. 8, paragraph 1).

PLEASE NOTE:

Fees due for the Professional Master's Programme can be paid on behalf of the relevant participant by an individual sponsor identified by the participant (public bodies, foundations, companies, etc.), upon signing a letter of commitment or a specific agreement. Please contact the Secretariat (see box on this page) to receive all necessary instructions.

REDUCTIONS

Where there is external funding (fundraising activities), the cost of enrolment can be reduced, assigning said reductions to candidates based on their position in the ranking list.
