Valeria Vignali has a background in civil engineering and holds a Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering. She is assistant professor at the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental, and Materials Engineering of the School of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Bologna. Her research interests concern road, railway and airport infrastructures, with particular reference to the analysis of the road-drivers interaction by innovative technologies. Filippo Paganelli (PhD in 2012) is Research Fellow at DICAM, School of Engineering and Architecture - University of Bologna since 2017. He participates in local and EU-funded projects on transport topics, has authored publication on journals and conference proceedings and supervised students on their final dissertation in Civil Engineering. His research topic are Air Transport and the optimization of human organ transportation network for transplant activities alongside the Italian Transplantation Centre.

Piergiorgio Tataranni is a research fellow at DICAM. Since 2013 his activity in the Roads section of the Department is focused on themes related to pavement materials and construction technologies for civil infrastructures. His research is mainly centred on the development of innovative and sustainable materials and low impact construction technologies. On these topics, he is author of several scientific publications, his PhD thesis and he participated in Europeans projects. He is currently the Scientific Manager of SAFERUP! H2020 MSCA ITN-2017 project.

Luca Pietrantoni is Full Professor in Social/Organizational Psychology. He is the Director of Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree of Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology since 2015. He coordinated XCYCLE project on behavioural and social dimension of traffic safety. His main research interests include human factors in transport, human-machine interface, and psychosocial dimensions of safety and risk.

Catia Prandi obtained the PhD in Computer Science at the University of Bologna in 2016. After the PhD, she spent two years in Portugal, working as Post-Doc researcher at the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute. Since July 2018, she is assistant professor at the University of Bologna, Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Her current research is related to HCI and urban data science: how to explore pervasive systems and crowdsourcing/crowdsensing to gather data about the environment and how to visualize these data to inform communities about sustainability.

Tommaso BONINO graduated in Engineering in 1994, he has experiences in individual and collective mobility management. Since 2003 he is the manager at SRM, the public transport authority for the Bologna metropolitan area. Before, he has worked for private companies and for several local bodies. SRM regulates 120 millions PT trips per year, 50.000 urban parking slots and bike- and car-sharing urban services; moreover promotes mobility services and deals with research and development in sustainable mobility projects. He represents SRM within UITP as member of the UITP Organising Authorities Committee. His main fields of expertise are related to mobility planning and regulation. He’s been involved in many multidisciplinary and group works, and has participated in many congresses and studies, at national and international level.

Claudio Rossi received his M.Sc. and the PhD degrees from the University of Bologna, in 1997 and 2001, respectively, both in electrical engineering. Eng. Cleto Carlini worked in the field of transport planning at the Emilia-Romagna Region from 1996 to 2004. Since 2004 director of the Municipality of Bologna, he has played a key role in developing the General Plan for Urban Traffic and the Structural Plan of the Municipality of Bologna. Katia Raffaelli is graduated in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory at the University of Bologna. She has been working for the Emilia-Romagna Region since 2001, with tasks on sustainable mobility, water management, air quality and climate change. Since 2010 she has been dealing with the implementation of air quality policies in Emilia-Romagna and she has elaborated the first regional air quality plan. Currently she is the project manager of the LIFE Integrated Project PREPAIR (Po Regions Engaged to Policies of AIR), co-financed by European Union in 2016 with the aim of improving air quality in the Po Valley.

Civil Transportation Engineer, member of the Order of Engineers of the Province of Bologna, I collaborate with the Order as a member of the Infrastructure and Transport commission. I have worked with the University of Bologna, with the Mobility Department of the Municipality of Bologna, and I am currently a permanent officer at the Public Transport and Sustainable Mobility Service General Directorate for Territorial and Environment Care of the Emilia-Romagna Region. In particular, I deal with sustainable mobility as a technical officer expert in innovative technological systems, electric mobility, renewal of LPT (local public transport) fleets with eco-compatible and innovative vehicles, infomobility and PUMS. I am project manager of several European projects (LIFE MHYBUS and PREPAIR, CIVITAS MIMOSA, INTERREG EPTA and REFORM, ADRION INTERCONNECT, Interreg ICARUS). Member of the PUMS working group at ministerial level for the drafting of the "guidelines". I am also a member of the People Mover Safety Commission coordinated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. I am involved in the main regional projects on sustainable mobility, at the technical level I look at the agreements, agreements and conventions, such as the PUMS project, POR-FESR funds (2007-2013), POR-FESR funds (2014-2020), the Mi Muovo Elettrico project. I participate in many events in Italy and abroad as a speaker and I am involved in writing reports / studies for the promotion of sustainable mobility.

From 2000 to 2003 she worked as an external consultant for the Sustainable Mobility and Infrastructure Sector of the Municipality of Bologna and since 2003 she has been an officer at the OU. Since 2008 she has been responsible technician of the Office "Evaluation of urban evaluation plans and interventions" and since 2020 she has been responsible for the "Urban Transformations and Cycling" Operating Unit.
She collaborates in the drafting of the planning tools of the Municipality of Bologna and in the evaluation of Urban Planning and Building projects, from the point of view of urban mobility, in relation to a scale of interventions that varies from the single building intervention, up to the evaluation of large municipal scale interventions and supra-municipal, in terms of analysis of mobility studies and evaluation of urbanization works to transfer to the Public Administration (roads, parking lots, pedestrian and cycle paths, restricted traffic areas, ...).
She is also involved in the evaluation and implementation of sustainable mobility systems, such as the "Bologna a scuola moves sustainable" project relating to sustainable school mobility and she follows the design of roads and school areas as well as the planning and implementation of cycle routes

Marco De Angelis is Junior Assistant Professor in Work and Organisational Psychology since 2020. Between 2015-2018 he participated in the coordination group of the H2020 European project XCYCLE, studying the behavioural and social dimensions of road safety. Moreover, during her PhD concluded in 2020, he designed and elaborated the GOTOUNIBO survey, aimed at understanding home-work travel patterns in the university community. His main research interests focus on psychosocial science applied to high-risk contexts in the industrial, organisational and traffic fields.

Graduated in Building and Architectural Engineering and PhD in Architecture at UNIBO in co-direction with the Université de Paris-Est, since 2011 she collaborates with the DA carrying out teaching and research activities in the disciplinary sector of Technical Architecture, and collaborating in international research projects. Her profile is oriented to the conservation of local construction techniques, the conservation and restoration of the historical and recent building heritage, and the performance renovation and energy requalification of buildings. In the abovementioned research field she has published a monograph and several scientific papers in conference proceedings and international journals.
