Admission

Admission process

Admission to the Master’s is subject to a positive assessment.

The Examination Board forms a merit ranking based on titles (kind and grade of university degrees, experiences, certifications) and the outcome of the motivational interview.

The best candidates according to the ranking, up to the maximum admissible number of students (18, with the possibility of requiring a motivated extension to 20) are admitted to the enrollment phase. Candidates that get a qualifying score but fall out of the admissible range are placed in a waiting list, to be recalled in case one or more selected candidates decide not to enroll.

The course is not activated if less than 11 students enroll.

Auditors (see call for the definition) are admitted up to a quota of 20% of regular participants, in addition to them.

Qualification requirements

As a legal requirement, participants must have at minimum a three-year (Bachelor) university degree, preferably in the ICT sector.

Subject to a positive evaluation by the Examination Board, candidates that hold other science degrees can be admitted to the selection process, providing that their CV includes qualified skills in the subjects covered by the Master’s:

  •  basic knowledge in operating systems (in terms of structure and function, not only as a user)
  • computer networks (TCP/IP protocol and common application services)
  • programming languages (essential C and Java)

The knowledge of these subjects is implicitly assumed where candidates have passed corresponding exams. In the absence of this, the candidate’s skills will be assessed during the motivational interview.

An official certification of knowledge of the English language is not required, but if present it will contribute to the qualifications evaluated for the formation of the admission ranking. The linguistic competence necessary to follow all the lessons, interact with the teachers and the class, and take the exams, will be verified if necessary during the motivational interview.

Fees (unofficial forecast for AY 2026-27)

  • First installment: € 2.800 - to be paid at enrollment (after passing selections)
  • Second installment: € 2.700 - to be paid by 31 January 2027
  • A limited number of auditors are admitted with a single-installment fee of € 2.750 to be paid at enrollment; auditors do not have to fulfill minimum attendance requirements, cannot be placed for internship, and do not get the Master's degree.
  • Before or during selections, it is possible to notify the Master's organizers of the will of an external entity (e.g. the company the candidate works for) to pay the fees on behalf of the candidate
