MIEX Alumni Community

MIEX was established  with the vision and the aim of opening up international opportunities and redefining the traditional concept of a one-year master.

Its main goal is to provide to students not only a solid foundation for a future career in international management but also to build a lasting and impactful network of global connections. Indeed, one of the greatest strengths of MIEX is its alumni network, which has grown significantly over the years and continues to be an integral part of the program. MIEX alumni have gone on to build impressive, successful careers in various sectors and countries around the world, and many of them return to share their experiences and insights with current students.

The alumni play a crucial role in the ongoing development of the program, often participating as guest speakers, members of the faculty, or mentors who guide students along their own professional journeys. This strong community of professionals, actively engaged in shaping the next generation, is a true source of pride for MIEX and a reflection of the program’s lasting impact on international business and management.

Alumni, current students, Faculty members and companies meet regularly during the MAD, MIEX Alumni Day.

Filippo Zadra (MIEXed. 13, a.y. 2014-2016)

Filippo Zadra began his MIEX journey in 2014, spending his second year at MGIMO in Moscow.

A decade later, in 2024, we were delighted to welcome him back to share his professional insights—right on time!
As a Sales Specialist for Too Good To Go, Filippo focuses on market research, identifying key decision-makers, and driving awareness about sustainability.

His return as a guest lecturer was a proud moment for us, as his success and experiences continue to inspire the next generation of MIEX students!

Beatrice Cecchi (MIEXed. 13, a.y. 2014-2016)

Born in Florence and graduated from the MIEX program in 2016, Beatrice Cecchi built her international career by bridging cultures, markets, and people across Europe, China, and the Middle East.

Her MIEX journey brought her to China in 2015 for the second year of the program — an experience that would shape the following decade of her professional and personal life. After starting her career supporting Italian brands entering the Chinese market, she later joined one of China’s leading EV players, contributing to its international expansion across Marketing Communication, Go-To-Market strategy, cross-cultural alignment, and international stakeholder engagement.

Throughout her career, Beatrice has worked at the intersection of global strategy and human connection, acting as a bridge between headquarters, local teams, institutions, and international markets. Her experience spans industries including automotive, luxury, branding, and international communication.

Alongside her corporate career, she is also deeply engaged in wellbeing, leadership, and community-building initiatives. She is a TEDx speaker, yoga teacher, and board member of IPWS (International Professional Women Society) and Rotary Club in Shanghai, where she promotes professional exchange, wellbeing, and international collaboration.

Returning to MIEX as a guest lecturer was a particularly meaningful moment for Beatrice: standing on the other side of the classroom ten years later allowed her to share not only professional insights, but also practical lessons on cross-cultural communication, adaptability, sustainable careers, and the importance of building strong support systems in international environments.

As she prepares for a new professional chapter in the APAC region - once again representing an Italian company in an international Marketing Communication role - her journey continues to reflect the spirit of the MIEX program: combining international vision with cultural understanding, professional growth with human connection, and global careers with meaningful impact.

We are proud to welcome her back to the MIEX community and grateful for the inspiration she continues to share with future generations of MIEXers.
