Programme

With 4 meetings of six or seven days, frontal teaching will be delivered in different ways, particularly including :

- Theoretical lectures "ex-cathedra". Most of the lectures (approximately 90%) will be held by the teacher in person while some lectures will be held online remotely.

- Practical exercises in small groups for anatomy and histology of the endocrine glands;

- Interactive discussions of clinical cases with the teacher;

- Discussion of clinical cases in small groups;

- Literature review on the topics covered by the Master through Journal Clubs. These meetings will be held online between one block of lectures and another.

The training program includes practical-applicative Clinical training at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences - University of Bologna of 6 CFU, equal to 150 hours of supervised individual work (25 hours of internship for each credit).

Considering a daily commitment of 7-8 hours, this program spans over 4 weeks (comprising 5 working days per week).

Each participant is required to carry out and complete their practical training at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, adhering to weekly rotations based on a schedule established accordingly with the Director of the Mater. For obvious reasons, at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences - University of Bologna, the clinical work (history taking and interviews with animal owners) is conducted in Italian.

At the end of the visit, there will be a discussion in English of the clinical case. In addition, on each day, there will be times to discuss all the clinical cases admitted on the day and previous days.

Each student will be assigned a project work that could involve a clinical study (prospective or retrospective) or the drafting of a review

At the end of the Master each participant will be evaluated taking into account the ongoing tests, the project work of a final exam, and the judgment gained during the practical period.
