Lecturers

DR. Riccardo Becciani graduated in Florence in 1983 with 110 cum laude and specialized in Siena in 1989. From 1992 to 1996 he taught Endodontics at the School of Specialization of the University of Siena. From 2002 to 2006 he was contract professor at the University of Siena in the integrative course of Aesthetics and adhesive techniques in pedodontics.

Author of numerous scientific publications concerning endodontics and conservative dentistry, Dr. Becciani is the author of the chapter on ultrasound in the text "Endodontics" by Dr. Castellucci and the chapter on the reconstruction of the tooth treated endodontically in the new English edition of the same text. He collaborated with Dr. Fradeani in the drafting of the text Aesthetic Rehabilitation in fixed prosthesis Vol.2.

He wrote two important dossiers on the biomechanics of the endodontically treated tooth published by Dental Cadmos in 2002 and 2004. In 2018, he published an article on Surgical Extrusion in the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry.

A speaker at numerous courses and congresses in Italy and abroad, Dr. Becciani has been working for several years on topics such as biomechanics of the endodontically treated tooth, adhesive and aesthetic dentistry, and surgical extrusion.

An active member of numerous scientific societies, he has been teaching courses in adhesive restorative dentistry for over fifteen years. In 2012, he founded the Think Adhesive Group to promote the "adhesive mindset" within the traditional concepts of restorative dentistry.

Graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Trieste with honors, she obtained a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Trieste and a Specialization in Orthodontics at the University of Brescia. He is currently Associate Professor at the Department of Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences of the University of Trieste. She is Professor of Pedodontics in the Master Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and in the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene and Professor of Conservative Dentistry in the Master Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics. She was President of the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene from 2008 to 2012 and of the Master Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics at the University of Trieste from 2013 to 2015. She is Director of the School of Specialization in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Trieste and Director of the SSD of Pediatric Odontostomatology at IRCCS Burlo Garofolo in Trieste.

Speaker at national and international congresses. Author of numerous publications in international journals with impact factor in the field of dental materials, pediatric dentistry and restorative dentistry. She actively collaborates with various national and international research groups.

Honorary Member of the Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry, Active Member of the Italian Society of Conservative Dentistry, Member of the Italian Society of Child Dentistry, Member of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry, Member of the Dental Materials Group of the International Association for Dental Research, Fellow Member of the Academy of Dental Materials. Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Dental Research.

Graduated dental technician in 1978. He started his activity as laboratory owner in 1984 in Bologna. Became an active member of AIOP 2012. Director AIOP biennium 2019-2020.

His activity, mainly oriented to the use of composite and ceramic in all its aspects, metal free and metal-ceramic, also applied to implantology, takes place at the Dental Laboratory Castellano, of which he is the owner.

Passionate about photography and computer science related to image processing and digital technologies, he uses these tools daily in professional practice, in the constant search for a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, using modern technologies in the service of diagnostics and modeling.

He designed and created the application "SmileApp" for iPad, for the virtual previsualization of the smile addressed to the dental sector.

He is author of national and international publications on prosthetic topics.

Born in Santa Monica, California (USA) on July 20, 1983 and graduated in 2006 in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis at the University of Bologna, with honors.

Adjunct Professor of Special Dentistry Surgery 2 for the Degree Course in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics (University of Bologna) in 2007-2008 and of the Integrative Course of Internship 1 for the Degree Course in Dental Hygiene (University of Bologna) in 2008-2009.

He attended the Department of Periodontology and Implantology at Columbia University in New York (USA), taking part in the Postdoctoral Externship Program in Periodontology and Implantology in 2009.

He received his PhD in "Biomedical technologies applied to odontostomatological disciplines" from the Second University of Naples in 2010.

From February 2012 to February 2017, he has been Researcher on temporary basis at the University Clinical Department of Medical, Surgical and Health Sciences, University of Trieste.

Since January 2016 he is Master Lecturer in the Master of II level in Aesthetic Conservative Dentistry directed by Prof. L. Breschi at the Department of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences, University of Bologna.
